Service information

  • Carry out initial screening assessments to estimate environmental risks using simple calculation tools or screening models
  • Perform detailed dispersion modelling using advanced software (e.g., ADMS, AERMOD) for complex sites or where screening indicates potential exceedance
  • Assess emissions against environmental benchmarks such as air quality standards, environmental assessment levels (EALs), and environmental quality standards (EQS)
  • Evaluate short-term (hourly, daily) and long-term (annual) impacts on human receptors, sensitive habitats, and designated conservation sites
  • Check background pollutant concentrations using Environment Agency datasets or local monitoring data
  • Account for site-specific parameters including stack height, exit velocity, temperature, terrain, meteorological data, and building effects
